A Rich Heritage

Our rich heritage is recognised and respected worldwide, dating back to 1839.

Since 1839 we've been shaping the global knife market with our iconic and pioneering designs. From the creation of the first wooden knife block in the 1960s, to our revolutionary 'never needs sharpening' Laser technology in 1979, we continually strive to bring new and innovative products to the market and into your home.

Each knife is exceptionally hand finished using only the finest materials. In 2013 we went back to our roots. Our stunning 1839 collection saw the brand return to where it all started more than 170 years ago, finishing and manufacturing our rosewood handles in Sheffield.
